Incorporated in April 1999, The William Franklin Buchanan Community Development Corporation  (Formerly The Fifteenth Avenue Baptist CDC) is a Tennessee registered, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which connects vulnerable individuals to opportunities and services, so they can overcome adversity, experience an improved quality of life and participate in the transformation of their community.

A key component of our work is to provide access to affordable housing, which has included construction of new homes as well as the renovation of dilapidated or foreclosed properties, converting them to highly sought-after affordable housing. We also offer financial and homebuyer education opportunities to ensure the economic stability of the families served in our community.

Thus in furtherance of our mission, WFBCDC has partnered with the Tennessee Housing
Development Agency (THDA) to provide Pre-Purchase Homebuyer Education (HBE) classes and
financial counseling services to increase access to the American Dream – Homeownership.
