Saint Joseph’s Carpenter Society strives to improve the quality of life of the people of the City of Camden and its surrounding communities by promoting affordable housing and neighborhood development. Through our initiatives, we encourage people to take charge of their lives and become active community members. SJCS offers various homebuyers a combination of seminars and counseling to provide first-time homeowners the necessary skills to succeed in the transition from renter to owner in both English and Spanish. These courses teach families the basics of financial management and of the mortgage process, as well as the responsibilities that come with owning a home.

Please note: This course is offered through a partnership through eHome America. The cost of this course is $99. This fee DOES NOT include a required credit report per person wanting to purchase a home and is a fee collected by eHome America. For example, if a couple wants to purchase a home through SJCS, they would need to provide $50 dollars for a credit report for two persons.  For questions, please call 856-966-8117 or email info@sjcscamden.org.
