The Door to Your Future is Wide Open! NHS of Chicago is a nonprofit neighborhood revitalization organization committed to helping home buyers through education, one-on-one consultations, and lending. Since 1975, the NHS of Chicago has been creating opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives, and strengthen their neighborhoods.

All individuals taking advantage of a City of Chicago purchase or down payment assistance program are required by the City to take Home Buyer Education in person. To enroll, please visit us online at www.nhschicago.org or contact us at homeownership@nhschicago.org.

Upon completing the eHome America online homebuyer education course, students must attend a one (1) hour counseling session-in person or by phone to receive a certificate of completion.
