Established in 1989, the Housing Development Fund (HDF) is a Stamford, Connecticut based CDFI and HUD Approved counseling and lending organization. We are also a NeighborWorks America Charter Member. The Housing Development Fund, Inc. believes that all households and families should have the opportunity and access to affordable housing, and that affordable housing and economic diversity are beneficial to communities. HDF provides homeownership counseling and down payment and closing cost assistance to our clients. Since opening our doors, we have assisted more than 8,000 households, with more than 1,600 of them becoming homeowners.
