North Side Community Federal Credit Union is a community development credit union founded in 1974. Our housing program provides:
- Pre-purchase home buyer education and counseling
- Post-purchase home owner education and counseling
- Foreclosure prevention assistance
- Financial education about credit, banking, budgeting, money traps and more
Unlike mainstream banks and credit unions, our niche is serving the 'unbanked' low and moderate income people. By offering affordable loans and low-cost checking and savings accounts, we are alternative to the payday and predatory lenders that pervade low income communities and strip wealth from residents.
Membership in the credit union is not a requirement to receive education or counseling.
